Finding Inspiration
From Daily Life
My experience as a former art teacher working with students with special needs, has taught me that all children share a deep desire to belong, to be loved, and to learn. I believe picture books are a powerful way to support these needs—offering comfort, encouraging problem-solving, and helping young readers navigate their worries and concerns.

Meet Violet!
Today was the worst day of Violet’s life. It was supposed to be a fun school field trip to the museum, but all she kept hearing was:
“Violet, please sit down.”
“Violet, please stay still.”
“Violet, be careful—you’ll fall!”
“Violet, don’t touch that!”
