About Me

I am an aspiring picture book author and watercolor illustrator. My illustrations  are sweet, charming, and imbued with a soft color palette that evokes the warmth and familiarity of classic family-centered picture books. 

​​I hold an AS in Commercial Art, a BA in Art Education, and an MAT in Advanced Secondary Education. I have worked professionally as a commercial artist and as an art teacher. I am an active member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and the 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge. I  also lead a critique group for SCBWI, supporting fellow writers and illustrators in their creative journeys.

When I am not painting or writing, I enjoy the company of my two puppies, Oliver and Mitsy. I also cherish time spent with my husband, children, and growing number of grandchildren—all of whom inspire my storytelling. I am currently looking for representation for my illustration and children's books, and I am always open for portrait commissions.
